These cherry bookcase/cabinet units were built for a delightful couple in North Central Pennsylvania (Coudersport).
Their hospitality was overwhelming - the job was 200 miles from my home; they put me up and fed me well while I was
there doing the installation. We communicated by phone & email to finalize the design, everything was built in
sections in my shop, and assembled for the first time on site.
The units are floor-to-ceiling (8'); The long one is 13', and the shorter one is 10'-6". The base
cabinets are 16" deep, with raised panel partial-inset doors, adjustable shelves, roller-type door catches
and cherry knobs. The upper bookcase sections are 12" deep with fixed shelves and dimmable lights at the top.
Each unit has a 4-level touch-pad dimmer that controls the lights for the entire unit.
The long unit has a 6' wide gun cabinet in the center that will
accommodate 17 rifles. The gun cabinet section features glass doors,
separate dimmable lights, locking doors, felt lined gun rests, and
U-bolts installed on the inside walls for a cable-type lock. The
base cabinet doors below the gun cabinet also have locks.
I have to apologize to any viewers - it wasn't until I was posting these photos that I realized I needed
to clen my camera lens.
