This customer had a particular bar style and color in mind from seeing various photos and online
advertisements. We combined all of the desired features and decided on walnut with a black cherry
stain. The bar front, end, and doors are raised panel construction. Cabinets against the back wall
have plenty of storage room, with full-extension drawers and adjustable shelves behind the doors.
A compartment was built into the cabinets to conceal the water meter and still provide access.
A wine refrigerator fits into a space under the cabinets. Under the bar is a sink, beer keg
refrigerator and adjustable storage shelves. Storage cabinets were put along the ceiling on each side
wall behind the bar, with a two-level wine glass rack. The bulkhead in front of the bar has adjustable
shelving across the entire length (approx. 9') for displaying a huge collection of shot glasses. The
homeowner has since had me build 15 more feet of shelving like this along the other bulkhead further
out in the room.
If you look closely at a few of the pictures, you can spot some Pittsburgh memorabilia.
The granite bar top and back counter were provided by
Bernardi Granite & Marble of Weirton, WV. They do nice work!
